CNC Lathe/Mill Operator
Duties and Responsibilities:
Program, set-up, and operate CNC lathes/mills and manual mills/lathes, with an emphasis on manual work for prototyping tools and tooling modifications.
Use optical comparators, micromotors, calipers, and other measuring tools.
Perform manual editing and dimensional inspection.
Conduct part inspections.
Ensure parts are deburred and clean before inspection.
Maintain a clean work area before and after shifts.
Operate machines safely and efficiently.
Work with tool steels.
Wear personal protective equipment as required.
Notify management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and personal injuries.
Adhere to established policies and procedures, with a focus on safety regulations.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including fluid and filter checks.
Responsibilities Include:
Programming, setting up, and operating lathes/mills.
Manual editing and dimensional inspections.
Producing parts to print specifications.
Keeping work areas clean, orderly, and safe.
Running machines in a safe manner.
Returning tools to designated areas.
Qualifications:
Skills:
Attention to detail.
Ability to make replacement machine parts for damaged components.
Interpret drawings and specifications.
Oral and written communication skills.
Time management and organizational skills.
Computer literacy; proficiency in Word and Excel is a plus.
TIG welding skills are a plus.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to read large print material.
Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with two-digit numbers.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time position.
8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday.
Overtime required.
$25-34/HR
Pay Details: $25.00 to $34.00 per hour
