Adecco US, Inc. Logistics Specialist in Southfield, Michigan
Adecco is currently looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our team in the Southfield, MI area. This is a 2nd shift (2:30PM to 11:00 PM) position M-F in a clerical/office environment. This position is a long-term contract position, but room for growth within a large company. Please see below for more about this position.

Job Summary The candidate will work as a Specialist in Logistics within a brokerage setting. Their responsibilities include providing logistics support such as order entry into the Freight Optimizer system, managing daily pick-ups and deliveries, coordinating with account managers and customers about load statuses, and resolving issues related to product overages or damages. Even Simpler: The job is for someone who helps manage shipping orders by entering them into a computer system and making sure everything gets delivered on time without any problems.
Skill Requirements
Must-Have:
1 year of logistics experience
General knowledge of the transportation industry
Preferred:
Experience writing routine reports and correspondence
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written , verbal or diagram form
Skill Education
Logistics : Involves managing the flow of goods from point A to point B efficiently.
Order Entry : Entering customer orders into a computer system for processing.
Routing/Dispatching/Traffic Coordination : Planning and managing routes for deliveries to ensure timely arrival.
Freight Optimizer System : A specific software used for optimizing freight management processes.
Customer Tenders/Account Managers/Check Calls from Drivers/Product Overages Shortages Damages Documentation/Pick-Ups and Deliveries: Terms related to various aspects of handling shipping loads including communication with customers and drivers as well as documenting any issues that arise.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma required; some college preferred.
· Experience performing accounting duties in a manufacturing environment preferred.
· Demonstrates high quality work and detail oriented.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
