Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems to streamline manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automation technologies, robotics, PLC programming, and process optimization. Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce operational costs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Production, and Quality Assurance to understand automation requirements and develop customized solutions.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed automation projects.

  • Program and configure PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), robotics, and other automated systems to ensure seamless integration into existing manufacturing infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and debug automation systems, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

  • Design and implement preventive maintenance programs for automated equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Stay abreast of emerging automation technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Provide training and technical support to production personnel to ensure proper operation and maintenance of automated systems.

  • Adhere to safety regulations and protocols, and ensure that all automation solutions comply with industry standards and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in designing, programming, and implementing automation systems in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), robotics programming (e.g., Fanuc, ABB), and HMI development.

  • Strong knowledge of automation technologies such as SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things).

  • Familiarity with process control systems, motion control, vision systems, and machine learning algorithms is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
