Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems to streamline manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automation technologies, robotics, PLC programming, and process optimization. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Production, and Quality Assurance to understand automation requirements and develop customized solutions.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed automation projects.
Program and configure PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), robotics, and other automated systems to ensure seamless integration into existing manufacturing infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and debug automation systems, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Design and implement preventive maintenance programs for automated equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Stay abreast of emerging automation technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
Provide training and technical support to production personnel to ensure proper operation and maintenance of automated systems.
Adhere to safety regulations and protocols, and ensure that all automation solutions comply with industry standards and guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in designing, programming, and implementing automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), robotics programming (e.g., Fanuc, ABB), and HMI development.
Strong knowledge of automation technologies such as SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things).
Familiarity with process control systems, motion control, vision systems, and machine learning algorithms is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
