Electro Mechanical Technician

Overview:

The Manufacturing and Facilities Electrician performs a variety of comprehensive electrical repairs and maintenance tasks on production equipment and facility services to ensure optimal production and quality. This position supports manufacturing by maintaining equipment on both the hot and cold ends, troubleshooting issues, and making repair or replacement recommendations.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs of production equipment and facilities.

  • Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns and equipment failures.

  • Conduct machine line inspections to identify potential problems prior to breakdowns.

  • Execute major machine repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment.

  • Verify and calibrate automatic gauging equipment.

  • Perform job setup and changeovers on forming machines, after forming handling and gauging hardware, vision systems, automatic packing, and packaging equipment.

  • Communicate with maintenance personnel and shift supervisors to prioritize and schedule repair work.

  • Maintain all required maintenance logs.

  • Manage multiple continuous improvement projects.

  • Assist in setting up new equipment, ensure satisfactory operation, and instruct others on proper usage.

  • Document new and existing processes in the plant.

  • Observe all safety rules and regulations, performing duties safely.

  • Maintain acceptable standards of housekeeping.

  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

  • Demonstrate behavior that meets our clients Management System (GMS) Standards.

  • Print legibly on all paperwork.

  • Perform other duties as required or requested.

Qualifications:

-*Education/Experience:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school, or

  • 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training, preferably in a manufacturing environment, or

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Skills/Knowledge:

  • Proven mechanical experience, work history, or on-the-job training.

  • Understanding of 24VDC, 24VAC, 110VAC, and 480VAC 3-Phase circuits.

  • Knowledge of automatic gauging equipment including verification and calibration.

  • Ability to support tasks such as assembly, drilling, tapping, punching holes, and programming/downloading files for PLC.

  • Familiarity with vision systems and automatic packing and packaging equipment.

  • Essential computer skills.

  • Ability to read and write English.

  • Certificates/Licenses:

  • Company-issued forklift, pallet jack, and scissor lift certification

Pay Details: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour
