Adecco US, Inc. Sanctions Advisory Specialist in New York, New York

Adecco is currently assisting a great client in their search for an experienced Sanctions Advisory Specialist .

Type: 40hrs/wk. Contract

Start Date: Within two to three weeks.

Location: Intersect of 9th Avenue and W. 58th Street in New York, NY. Please make sure this commute works for you prior to applying.

Pay: $45.77 to $ 45.77/hr

Length: Long Term

Hours : 8am to 5pm; M-F

Responsibilities for the Sanctions Advisory Specialist role include:

  • Works to protect the client from legal, regulatory, and reputational risk within sanctioned entities.

  • Investigate escalations regarding payment messages sent into the compliance team.

  • Apply OFAC and EU regulations and present significant issues to anti-crime unit.

  • Ensure that significant events are immediately addressed and monitored.

  • Connect with service officers to decide if transaction-related requests are complying within regulations.

  • Maintain and manage internal watch lists and the maintenance of records.

  • Respond to and support sanctions-relevant reporting obligations involving countries in the region to the competent authorities.

  • Present required data to law enforcement or when requested internally.

  • Provide guidance using expert knowledge of Sanctions laws/regulations to business staff.

Qualifications for this Sanctions Advisory Specialist role:

  • BA / BS required either in Finance, International Relations, or Law within the complex regulatory arena, but a JD or Masters is strongly preferred.

  • Proven experience in AML or Sanctions Compliance within a Global Financial Institution.

  • Versed in monitoring and transaction filtering and name list screening.

  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Must enjoy problem-solving and researching.

  • Strong attention to detail and timely delivery to requests.

  • Mandatory adherence to federal reserve timeframes.

Pay Details: $45.77 per hour
