Position Summary: Material Handlers perform essential material handling duties in a warehouse environment. Responsibilities range from receiving deliveries and preparing outbound shipments to quality assurance and maintaining general warehouse cleanliness.

Job Duties:

  • Receive goods into the warehouse following established procedures.

  • Match incoming freight to packing lists and manifests.

  • Assist in cycle counting physical inventories as required.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse through proper disposal of used or worn packaging materials.

  • Verify shipping labels for outbound freight and coordinate with Customer Service and Drivers.

  • Prepare outbound orders by locating, picking, labeling, and managing stock supplies.

  • Load and unload trucks.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic use of computer systems and applications, with the ability to learn basic transactions as trained.

  • Proficient in using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.

  • Must be forklift certified or obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.

  • Knowledgeable of common safety and security measures to ensure warehouse and team safety, and compliance with OSHA and other regulations.

  • Punctual, follows instructions, and acknowledges and corrects mistakes.

  • Meets the needs of customers through positive interactions.

  • Effective communication and collaboration with team members to achieve common goals.

  • Able to receive work instructions in both written and oral formats, completing communication in a clear and organized manner.

  • Seeks and incorporates feedback, uses good judgment, and solves problems within assigned scope of responsibility.

  • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and efficiency; detail-oriented with minimal errors. Meets productivity goals set by management.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
