Adecco is currently assisting one of its clients in their search for an Accountant in Lansing, MI!

Pay rate: $40/hr

Shift availability: Mon - Friday 8a - 5p

Length: Three (3) months with possibility of extension

Our ideal candidate must be able to:

• Supervise the organization and maintenance of general ledger, general journal, standard journal and all subsidiary ledgers required to properly record financial transactions and maintain accounting records ensuring compliance to SOX

• Assist Division Controller and Assistant Division Controller with all financial aspects, including monthly reports, control of costs, safeguard of assets, month-end closing and reporting requirements ensuring all deadlines are met, etc.

• Responsible for the development and monthly monitoring of controllable expense analyses to help drive cost reduction

• Support annual physical inventory and cycle counting requirements

• Coordinate monthly account reconciliation process

• Responsible for the accounting of Property, Plant, Equipment and Tooling

• Assist with SOX 404 audits by Internal and External auditors, as well as Corporate Finance

• Assist with processing scrap transactions

• Control account reconciliation and intercompany transactions

• Coordinate the review and processing of accounts payable disbursements through the Shared Services group

• Interact with Division Management to implement continuous

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Bachelors degree: Finance or Accounting required

Experience requirements:

• 3-5 years of audit and accounting experience

• GAAP and SOX environment knowledge

• Analytical with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication skills

• Proficient with Excel

Note:

This is an onsite role, must live near/in Lansing, MI!

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
