Adecco in Auburn hills is assisting a client in looking for a receptionist to join their team. This person will be responsible for performing clerical tasks within an office or establishment to support daily operations. Primary Job Duties

  1. Answering and Transferring Phone Calls : Receptionists spend a significant amount of time answering phone calls. They handle incoming calls, transfer them to the appropriate employees, and take messages when necessary.

  2. Greeting Visitors : When visitors arrive for meetings with management or sales staff, the receptionist is the first person they encounter. They welcome visitors, provide directions, and ensure a positive first impression.

  3. Sorting and Delivering Mail : Receptionists manage incoming mail, including sorting and distributing it to employees. They may also handle outgoing mail and packages.

  4. Making Appointments : Receptionists schedule appointments for staff members or specific employees, such as executives. They maintain an appointment book and ensure efficient scheduling.

  5. Assisting Clients or Customers : If clients or customers have questions about their charges or need assistance, the receptionist provides information and helps resolve any issues.

  6. Organizing Files : Receptionists maintain files related to billing, customer records, and other administrative tasks. This includes organizing paperwork and ensuring proper documentation.

  7. Directing Visitors : When visitors arrive, the receptionist directs them to the correct office or meeting room. They ensure smooth navigation within the establishment.

Receptionist Skills and Qualifications To excel in this role, a receptionist should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent Communication Skills : Receptionists interact with visitors, clients, and employees, so effective communication is essential.

  • Organizational Abilities : Managing appointments, files, and mail requires strong organizational skills.

  • Customer Service Orientation : Receptionists must be polite, friendly, and helpful when dealing with visitors and callers.

  • Computer Proficiency : Basic computer skills are necessary for managing appointments and handling administrative tasks.

  • Attention to Detail : Receptionists need to be detail-oriented to keep accurate records and direct visitors appropriately.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
