Position Overview: The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. This role will additionally oversee the IT department. Reporting directly to the President, the Controller will play a key role in driving financial strategy, driving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) to provide accurate and timely financial information to management and external stakeholders.

  • Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives, driving growth, profitability, and shareholder value.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with each department head to develop comprehensive financial plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Cash Management: Manage cash flow by monitoring liquidity needs, optimizing cash balances, and overseeing banking relationships to support operational requirements and investment opportunities.

  • Internal Controls: Develop and implement robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, safeguarding company assets and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with all tax regulations and optimize tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities.

  • Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during financial audits, facilitating the audit process and ensuring timely completion with minimal disruptions to operations.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional development to maximize team performance and individual growth.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a management role of accounting in a manufacturing operation (preferred).

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting techniques.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
