Adecco US, Inc. Janitor in Gainesville, Florida

Adecco is seeking a candidate to fill a Janitor position in Gainesville, FL. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across various areas of our site, including warehouses, break rooms, offices, and restrooms. Duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing using chemicals and hot water. The ideal candidate will adhere to standard operation processes, prioritize safety, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Hours: Sunday to Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM; Thursday to Saturday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize designated areas using appropriate chemicals and equipment

  • Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal

  • Operate a floor scrubber as needed

  • Comply with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements

  • Attend safety meetings and complete mandatory EHS training

  • Report any unsafe conditions or hazards promptly

  • Follow all standard operating procedures

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in cleaning or related field

  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills

  • Ability to work required hours to complete tasks

  • Willingness to work overtime and non-Monday-Friday schedules

  • Must wear steel toe boots and other required personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and reaching overhead

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
