Adecco US, Inc. Software Development Engineer in Test in Fort Lee, New Jersey
Our client is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their dynamic team. As an SDET, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of their software applications. You will be responsible for end-to-end testing, including Android testing, Cypress testing, and more.
Responsibilities:
Designing and developing comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications.
Executing test cases and documenting test results to identify and track software defects and inconsistencies.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand project requirements and provide input on testability and quality.
Participating in requirement and design reviews to provide feedback and ensure testability and quality of the software.
Performing both manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
Writing and maintaining automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
Investigating and reproducing reported issues and effectively communicating them to the development team.
Monitoring and tracking defects to ensure their resolution in a timely manner.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of the QA process and best practices.
Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies and technologies.
Experience with Test Automation Frameworks: Proficiency in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks tailored to the specific needs of the organization.
Understanding of Software Development Processes: Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban, and the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams.
Knowledge of Version Control Systems: Experience working with version control systems such as Git or SVN to manage test scripts and test data.
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automated tests into the build and deployment processes.
Performance Testing: Experience in performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure software scalability and responsiveness.
Security Testing: Awareness of security testing principles and techniques to identify vulnerabilities and ensure the security of software applications.
Collaborative Skills: Ability to work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an SDET or similar role.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with manual and automated testing of web and mobile applications.
Proficiency in using test management tools and bug tracking systems.
Solid understanding of agile development methodologies.
Experience with test automation frameworks, such as Selenium or Appium.
Familiarity with programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with API testing and tools like Postman.
Experience with database testing and SQL queries.
Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Experience with performance and security testing.
