1-3 months related experience and/or training
Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food industry
Previous packaging work experience preferred
Intermediate math skills
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and internal/external customers
Ability to learn system logic and operate HMI/control panels and fine tune equipment for minor and major adjustments
Self-directed, able to keep oneself and the production line busy
Must be available to work overtime and weekends
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Frequently
High attention to detail
Must be able to work in an environment frequently exposed to loud, wet, and cold conditions
Operate machines within assigned area. This includes troubleshooting, cleanup, setup, quality control, and waste control, flows to work
Perform chemical cleaning within assigned area, both on daily turnaround and unplanned intervals
Escalate acute and chronic machine and organizational issues to Line Specialist and/or Lead as required
Support existing line operation documentation, such as Gemba boards, changeover checklists, 5S, centerlines, and CIL tracking, by completing the required tasks and documentation at the required intervals
Ensure down time is entered into the HMI with clear explanations of what occurred
Accountable for maintaining assigned tools
Support new initiatives when required by providing feedback, writing and training others on procedures, and adopting new tasks and documentation
Actively participates in shift hand off
Train peers and seasonal workers on processes and machine operation within the department
Work with team towards meeting packaging metrics to drive goals and sustainability of the teams
Perform tasks to support other departments when directed
Perform all other duties as assigned
Available shifts:
Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:30pm
Monday-Friday 2:00pm-6:30am
Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
