Pay: $30 per hour, depending upon experience

Job Summary:

The Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical systems and equipment at the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to effectively repair and maintain equipment.

  • Maintaining and repairing robotic systems, automated machinery used in the manufacturing processes. This may involve troubleshooting issues with sensors, actuators, controllers, or mechanical components.

  • Calibrating and maintaining instrumentation devices such as pressure gauges, temperature controllers, flow meters, and level sensors used in process control and monitoring applications.

Troubleshooting and Repairs:

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions.

  • Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure rapid return to operational status.

  • Troubleshooting and repairing control systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), relays, switches, and sensors. Technicians may need to reprogram PLCs or replace faulty components to ensure proper operation of automated machinery.

  • Repairing and replacing electric motors used in machinery such as pumps, fans, conveyors, and industrial equipment. This may involve diagnosing issues with motor windings, bearings, brushes, or connections.

  • Collaborate with external vendors for specialized repairs and technical support when needed.

  • Installs, maintains, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs electro-mechanical systems and equipment.

Team Communication:

  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture to ensure good communication of maintenance issues.

  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop and implement improvements to existing systems.

  • Communicates directly with supervisor to coordinate maintenance and repair work in production areas.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document maintenance and repair activities, including maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensures safety protocols comply with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Take immediate action to correct unsafe conditions.

  • Contributes to departmental safety goals.

  • Ensures hand tools, power tools, and test instruments are used safely.

  • Follows all lock out/tag out procedures and lock storage policies.

  • Responds to notifications from security and fire alarms.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participates in all training as required.

  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Attains and maintains 7S system departmental goals.

  • Responsible for maintaining the building and grounds.

  • Assists with the rebuilding and modification of production equipment.

  • Assist with robotics used in the manufacturing process.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical certification in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.

  • Proven experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician or similar role, with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including knowledge of principles, components, and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

  • Experience with tools and equipment used in electro-mechanical maintenance and repair.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols related to electrical and mechanical work.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
