SAFETY MANAGER needed immediately Job Summary: In business for close to 40 years, we are a leader in the automotive and truck industry. Our company customizes trucks and other commercial vehicles to meet specific needs and requirements for businesses. We make modifications to ensure the vehicles are safe, efficient, and suited for their intended purposes.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to develop, implement, and oversee safety programs at our automotive manufacturing facility. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.

Location: Dublin, Virginia

Key Responsibilities:

Create & manage safety programs and policies, conduct risk assessments & safety audits.

Stay updated on safety regulations and ensure compliance by conducting internal audits and liaising with regulatory agencies. Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Develop and deliver safety training for employees and ensure adherence to safety procedures. Develop and maintain emergency response plans, conduct drills, and establish communication channels.

Monitor and analyze safety data and prepare and present safety reports. Lead or participate in safety committee meetings. Ensure availability and proper use of PPE and conduct effectiveness assessments. Identify and implement safety process improvements, and benchmark against industry standards.

Monitor safety practices of on-site vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.

  • OSHA 30 Hour required

  • 3+ years of experience in safety management within an automotive manufacturing or similar industrial setting.

  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in safety management software and tools.

  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Reports To: Director of Health, Safety, and Environmental

SALARY/ BENEFITS/PTO/ BONUS AND ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION

Salaried employee with salary ranging between $50-$60k (depending upon experience and qualifications. ( Salary review possible after probationary new hire period. Multiple bonus opportunities all the time)
