Job Title: Shipping Clerk
Shift: 8:30a - 5:00p
Reports to: Warehouse Mgr.
RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
Perform shipping duties electronically and manually.
Support the shipment of goods produced and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/ storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
Responsible in arranging pick up by carrier specified on customers purchase order which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to department sup.
Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials to dept. supervisor for approval.
Maintain the work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition while following safety guidelines.
EDUCATION, WORK, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of high school education and 1 year warehouse related experience in shipping or receiving
Must be familiar with bill of ladings and major freight carriers.
Must be capable of estimating weight and use that information to calculate the cost of shipping.
Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirable.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, word, Outlook) is required.
The ability to lift to 25lbs.
Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
