Adecco Staffing is assisting a manufacturing facility in Chelmsford MA in sourcing for a Technical Writer on 1st shift! The successful candidate will focus on developing detailed Job Breakdown Instructions (JBIs) to support our manufacturing processes. This role involves close collaboration with process engineers and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and clarity in documentation, ultimately improving production efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create clear, concise, and comprehensive JBIs for manufacturing processes, ensuring all steps are accurately documented and easy to understand.

  • Work closely with process engineers to gather detailed information about manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices.

  • Develop and maintain SOPs related to manufacturing processes, ensuring consistency and compliance with industry standards.

  • Regularly review and update JBIs and SOPs to reflect process changes, improvements, and new equipment.

  • Observe manufacturing processes to identify areas needing additional documentation or clarification.

  • Ensure all documentation complies with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.

  • Create or coordinate the development of technical illustrations, diagrams, and photos to support JBIs and SOPs.

  • Manage and organize technical documents in a content management system for easy access and retrieval by relevant personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a technical writer in a manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in technical writing software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, CAD software).

  • Ability to understand complex technical processes and convey them in simple terms.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Experience with content management systems.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry standards.

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and observe manufacturing processes for extended periods.

Pay Details: $33.00 to $38.00 per hour
