Job Posting: Medical Director (Full-Time) - Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Facility

Position: Medical Director

Location: Near Avondale, AZ

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (On-call via phone)

Salary: $255,537 - $309,200/year (Based on experience)

About Us: We are a dedicated behavioral health and substance abuse facility committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Medical Director to lead our medical team and ensure the highest standards of care.

Job Description: As the Medical Director, you will oversee the clinical and administrative operations of our facility. Your responsibilities will include managing medical staff, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and providing direct patient care. You will be instrumental in guiding the treatment of patients with behavioral health and substance abuse issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of the facility.

  • Manage and support medical staff, providing leadership and guidance.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines, including Title 36 holds, medical detox, and involuntary holds.

  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.

  • Provide direct patient care and support.

  • Handle on-call duties via phone as needed.

  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment.

  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO in Psychiatry.

  • Valid DEA licensure.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a physician.

  • Preferably 3 years of management experience.

  • Experience with Title 36 holds, medical detox, and involuntary holds.

  • Passion for working with the behavioral health and substance abuse population.

  • Ability to motivate others through positivity.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Pay Details: $255,537.00 to $309,200.00 per year
